I first heard about Monica Botkier's handbags in Lucky magazine a few years ago. It was an article dedicated to emerging designers which I used for a project at FIDM. She was a fashion photographer who wanted a bag that was both stylish and functional which inspired her to design the Trigger.

Many were skeptical after the success of that style whether she would be able to come up with another hit design. Then came along the Bianca which is just as if not more fabulous than the first. Her Fall 2007 collection includes these two iconic styles as well as some other amazing creations:

I know it seems early to be talking about fall. It's only the beginning of August (I understand, I love summer too). But as you may have noticed the stores have already been getting their fall merchandise in. I am really excited about the fabulous looks I have already seen...so now begins my trend forecast for the fall season. Enjoy!


There are alot of cute mary jane styles already out for fall. They were seen in fall runway shows and it's nice to see that there are some options out there already in stores. The patent leather styles are particularly hot for fall. Match these with a pencil skirt and romantic blouse for the perfect work outfit.

For quite some time now, I have been a fan of Reese's style. She manages to incorporate trends but always looks classy and age appropriate. Britney could learn a thing or two from Reese. I've noticed that Reese wears her Mosley Tribes shades often. They are such a cute interpretation of the classic aviator and from the same designer as Oliver Peoples. I live in these shoes because they are cute and comfortable which is rare with shoes. I wear mine with jeans, shorts, skirts and dresses. I was chided by my lovely friend Erin for wearing them to a nice bar...which I admit was taking it a little too far. I got my first pair during the early 90's grunge days. I've noticed celebrities have been wearing them out and about lately. My favorite are the low top navy blue ones.
